A fun nighttime stroll!
This impressive brick building is the former Army Ordnance Depot, which was also the former city hall.
It is softly lit up at night. Many night installations are held here, so please take a walk and visit. The circumference of Himeji Castle is about two kilometers. If you go clockwise from the front of Himeji Castle (the north side is a little bit longer), the museum is around 2 o’clock.
The Keizo Kunitomi Collection Room is a permanent installation.
(The donation was made by Kunitomi Hospital, which Himeji citizens will understand)
By the way, the impressive sculpture in front of the museum”The Warrior of Montauban” by French sculptor, Bourdelle.
Himeji has quite a few sculptures on the streets, so I hope you enjoy them!
