Q.Is there a parking lot?
A.We DO NOT have a parking lot, but there are many in the area. Please see the recommended parking lots on the Access page of our home page.

Q.Can I smoke in the guesthouse?
A.No. Smoking is not permitted in the house.. Smoking is allowed in the smoking area at the entrance.(outside)
Q.Can I eat in my room?
A. Food and drink are not allowed in the guestrooms, Please eat in the shared lounge on the 1st floor.
Q.Is there an elevator?
A.The inn is not barrier-free and is not equipped with an elevator. Rooms are on the 2nd floor and shower/toilet is on the 1st floor.
Q.Soundproofing facilities?
A.We are renovating a 70 year old wooden house. The walls are made of wood, plaster, and clay and are not soundproof.
Unfortunately, it is not recommended for those who are sensitive to sound or who value privacy. We recommend this house for those who enjoy a homey atmosphere.
Q.Can I cook in the kitchen?
A.No. Guests are not allow to access the kitchen, but an electric kettle/toaster/microwave/refrigerator are avaialbe at shared lounge.
The guesthouse is located in the city and has many choices of restaurants!
At the same time, you can buy bento-box at the supermarket (1 min. walk) and eat it in the lounge. Enjoy your meal in Himeji!
Q.Are pajamas and amenities provided?
A.Pajamas and yukatas are NOT provided, so please bring your own.
Bath towels are available for rent for 100 yen and toothbrushes for 50 yen.
―About TIME―
Q.What time is check-in/out ?
A.Check-in is from 16:00 to 21:00
Check-out time is required by 10:00.
*Arrival after 21:00 will incur an additional charge, so please consult with us in advance.
Q.Is there a lights-out time or curfew?
A.There is NO curfew, but lights out will be at 23:00.
If you don’t have enough to drink or talk, I suggest a pub after 23:00.
Please be as quiet as possible when you come back.
Q.If I am staying for consecutive nights, can I stay in my room all the time?
A.Please note that guests staying consecutive nights will not be able to stay in the room from 10:00 to 16:00 due to cleaning.
We hope you enjoy your stay in the neighborhood and sightseeing in Himeji.

Q.What payment methods are available?
A.Reservations made through each reservation site → Please make your selection on each site.
Please make a reservation directly on the official website or by phone → cash payment on the day of the event.
*A deposit may be required in advance for group reservations and long-term stays.
Q.Cancellation Policy
A.For reservations of 1-3 persons.
Cancellation on the day /1day before …100%
Cancellation 2 days prior …75%
Cancellation 3 days prior …50%
Cancellation 4 days prior …30%
Please inquire info@himeji588.com for group cancellation policy.
We will also be as flexible as possible in the event of cancellations due to transportation or flight cancellations that can only be known on the day of the event.
In any case, we ask that you contact us to cancel your reservation.
We are a small private inn, so your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

Q.Can children stay at the guesthouse?
A.The guesthouse is not soundproofed as it is a renovated old private house.
Therefore, we do not accept children under 6 years old at one time, but we can accept them depending on the season. (And we also have a whole house rentr plan.)
Are pets allowed to stay in the rooms?
A.Pets are not allowed to stay.
Q.Lost and Found
A.Please manage your valuables at your own risk.
Lost and found items will be sent by cash on delivery system within one week. (request basis)
