Shoshazan Engyoji Temple represents the symbol of Tendai Buddhism and is also well-known as a filming location for various movies from Japan and outside of Japan. It takes a 30 minutes bus ride from Himeji Station, in which from there you can take the ropeway up to the temple, or if you like climbing mountains, you can go hiking! Shoshazan Engyoji Temple, surrounded by beautiful green grass with moss on the tree trunks in the tranquility. This place is highly-rated among visitors from overseas too, and many of them become fans. <How to get to Shoshazan Engyoji Temple>
(1) From the bus stop “Himeji-jo Otemon-mae”, take the bus bound for “Shoshazan Ropeway (No.10)”.
(It is located along the street where several stores are gathered, just across Otemae-dori from Gahaha Guest House! It is just in front of Kamadoya Shiro-mae Store)
