The summer festival “Onatsu Seijuro Matsuri(お夏清十郎祭り）” will be held in the Nozato area north of Himeji Castle.
It’s not a big festival, it’s a small community summer festival.
The event starts around 16:30. (dont know until when…) Ningyo Joruri (Japanese puppet show) and open-air stalls will also be opened in the Nozato shopping district.
On this day, there is also “Baku (August 9th) Day(special event day )” of the famous udon restaurant “Baku” in the Nozato area!( A special pop-up shop will be available on this day）
if you’re planning to visit this festival, please mark “Udon Baku” so you will easiy can access the zone.
If you are coming to Himeji on this day, please visit this area, and enjoy the small festival you might see in the anime（アニメ）。From himeji station, there is bus toward to nozato, and also it is within walking distance during the cool hours of the night 🙂
