Take a 20-30 minute bus ride from Himeji Station. When you get off at the last stop, the Shoshazan Ropeway, you are already at the foot of Mt.
You can take the ropeway up the mountain. If you like hiking, you can go up the mountain (it takes about 1 hour). (I have never hiked up Mt. Shosha, but I don’t know because I don’t like exercise.)
Here is some advice for those who want to go there after Himeji Castle or directly from Gahaha!

＜How to get to Shoshazan Engyoji Temple

(1) From the bus stop “Himeji-jo Otemon-mae”, take the bus bound for “Shoshazan Ropeway (No.8)”.

(It is located along the street where several stores are gathered, just across Otemae-dori from Gahaha Guest House! It is just in front of Kamadoya Shiro-mae Store)
